Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups salted butter, softened

  • 2 cups white sugar

  • 3 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour, divided

  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

  • ¾ cup canned evaporated milk

  • 2 ½ cups gumdrops (preferably baking gumdrops, not jujubes)

  • 1 tablespoon confectioner’s sugar for garnish (optional)

Directions

  • Set your oven to 300°F (150°C). Prepare a Bundt pan by greasing it lightly with non-stick cooking spray and dusting it with flour. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar with a hand mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Add 1 ½ cups of flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder to the mixture. Mix well.
  • Pour in ½ cup of evaporated milk and combine.
  • Add another 1 ½ cups of flour and ½ teaspoon of baking powder. Mix again, followed by the remaining ¼ cup of evaporated milk.
